BIO

Nicola Prosatore was born in Naples and professionally in Milan, where he finds himself confronted with television direction. It agrees with him and as such moves to Rome to begin challenging himself with what fascinates him the most: the mix of genres between format and pure narration. From this impulse two series are born with Carlo Lucarelli and one with Michele Placido for Fox Crime. The same interest is carried on with Rock In Rebibbia, In Italia and Club Privè for MTV. He then directs Petrolio (Rai 1), Gaia – Il Pianeta Che Vive, Sei Miliardi Di Altri (Rai 3). He also directs for Fox – for which he was an artistic consultant in 2007 – Rete 4, Rai5, Rai4, Sky, History Channel, National Geographic, Dmax, Deejay Television. In the meantime, he is responsible for advertising and brand content working as a director and author for various Italian and international brands. In 2010 he founded his production company, Briciola.tv/Briciolafilm.
His first short film, “Il Serpente”, was a finalist at the Nastri D’Argento 2015 and received numerous awards, selections and mentions at national and international festivals, including the Academy® Accredited festivals
International Short Film in Berlin, Flickerfest in Sydney and “BFFS” in
Brussels. “Destinati Coniugi Lo Giglio” (with Lello Arena, Antonia Truppo, Lino Musella, Isabella Saves), his second short film, after its debut at Alice Nella Città, the competitive section of the Festa del Cinema di Roma, gets the
Nastro D’Argento 2022 as best short film. Also in 2022 he directs “Wanna”, a docu-series produced by Fremantle Italia for Netflix, with a release scheduled for next autumn.
Piano Piano, his first feature film produced by Briciolafilm with Rai Cinema, was screened in Piazza Grande official selection at the Locarno Film Festival 2022.
